Component for surface sizing of paper and cardboard, is an aqueous solution of a copolymer of a series of methacrylates with high cationic charge density. The component is used in the pulp and paper industry for surface sizing of paper and cardboard to increase hydrophobicity and surface strength of paper, as well as to improve its printing properties.
