The polyester-polyol Yankee dryer coating is a thermosetting composition based on a blend of polyester polyols with controlled molecular weight and functionality.
Its key feature is the specific polyol ratio and the absence / minimisation of crosslinking agents (isocyanates or epoxides), which provides low adhesion to metal and to the paper web.
On contact with the hot Yankee dryer surface the product forms a durable protective layer that allows adhesion control and uniform creping in tissue production.
